Scholarship Awards

One $1000 scholarship will be awarded per year. Scholarship will be paid directly to college or university where student will be attending in the fall. This scholarship may be used for any post-secondary, educational institution; either in-state or out-of-state; for registrations, tuition, fees, room and board and/or purchase of books. Special consideration may be given to students who show financial need.

Scholarship Selection Committee

A selection committee of 3-5 people, composed of teachers, coaches, administrations and/or community members will interview applicants in April or early May each year. The Rollins family, if they so choose, may work together with the Charlo High School counselor in determining who will serve on the selection committee each year. Committee members may vary from year to year.

Applicant Eligibility

Recipient shall be a current graduating senior from Charlo High School.

Applicant Must Demonstrate Academic Aptitude

Student must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Applicant Must Demonstrate Involvement

Student must have been involved in extracurricular activities and/or community service.

Applicant Must Complete an Application

Student must complete the scholarship application, which includes a short essay, stating their educational and career goals/objectives and why they should be considered for this scholarship. An additional, short essay question may be added to the application, and the question may be different from year to year.

Applicant Must Be Interviewed

Student must be wiling to participate in a personal interview with the scholarship committee.

Applicant Must Provide 3 Letters of Recommendation

Student may seek letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, administrators, employers and/or community members.

Applicant Must Submit Application by the Deadline

Student must return the application to the High School Counselor. Please return the application in a 9x12 sealed envelope with the scholarship name on the front.
